By 1927, Germany had regained much of the confidence lost after the First World War. Economic growth, expanding trade, and greater political stability encouraged many Germans to believe the nation was entering a new era of prosperity. Although antisemitic attitudes persisted, improving economic conditions fostered a renewed sense of optimism across much of the country.
